“Drake’s Latest Musical Masterpiece: A Deep Dive into the New Album”

For all the dog lovers out there, Drake has finally released his new album! Titled

“Certified Lover Boy,” it was initially set to drop in 2022, featuring big names like Bad Bunny, SZA (with “Slim U Out” and “Sexy Red” featuring “Rich Baby Daddy”), J. Cole, Lil Baby, and several other guests across 23 tracks.

The album includes a range of styles and vibes, from the opener “Virginia Beach,” reminiscent of Frank Ocean’s “Pyramids,” to “IDGAF” sampling Azimuth’s “The Tunnel,” “7969 Santa” taking inspiration from Chief Keef’s “I Don’t Like,” and “All the Parties” channeling Pet Shop Boys’ “West End Girls.” You can check out the full credits below.

In terms of producers, the album boasts a talented lineup, including Bnyx, Boi-1da, Cash Cobain, Justin Raisen, SadPony, and Southside. Drake himself, along with his trusted collaborators Noah “40” Shebib, Oliver El-Khatib, and Noel Cadastre, take on executive producer roles. Kevin Durant is even listed as an A&R for the album.

Originally, “Certified Lover Boy” was scheduled to be released on September 22nd, but Drake decided to push it back to October 6th to balance his recording commitments and touring duties. The album cover features artwork created by Adonis Graham, Drake’s son. In the pre-album track “8am in Charlotte,” we get a glimpse of Drake spending time with his child.

Notably, Drake performed “Certified Lover Boy” tracks “Race My Mind” (not included in the official tracklist) and the SZA-special “Slim U Out” ahead of the album’s release. The former track includes a prominent sample of Kim Kardashian discussing her divorce from Kanye West, which fans speculated might be a jab at West.

The ongoing feud between Drake and West rekindled in 2021 when Drake took shots at West on “Betrayal.” Following that, he premiered West’s “Life of the Party” (a song with some anti-Drake lyrics) ahead of its official release. Rappers quickly escalated their beef, but a year later, West once again mocked Drake.

So, there you have it, the scoop on Drake’s “Certified Lover Boy” album, complete with its juicy backstory and collaborations. Enjoy the music! For all dog enthusiasts,
